Potter County Habitat for Humanity Austin PA Photo Update No. 3 - The Clarion First United Methodist Church Youth Group Is Awesome
The Clarion First United Methodist Church Youth Group and their adult volunteers arrived at 37 Thorn Street, Austin, Pennsylvania, early Monday morning, June 19, 2017. 37 Thorn Street is the site of Potter County's Habitat for Humanity's 10th homebuilding project.
It was raining when they began working on this project, and, it would rain periodically throughout the June 19 - 22 timeframe scheduled to build a roof on the future home of Amanda and Scott Crumrine.
However, the rain did not dampen their enthusiasm. The manner in which they tackled this project revealed a superior work ethic and Esprit de corps. The quality of their work is a testament to the training they have received from the adult volunteers.
As you review the pictures below, keep in mind that these young men and women paid $100 each to be a member of this project. Many of them providing their own tools. Also, the adult volunteers can't be thanked enough for the time and devotion they have given in providing these young people the opportunity to experience the rewards of community service.
