Laurie Earle |
Laurie was employed as a traveling (contract) ultrasound technologist for ten (10) years. During that period of time, she worked and visited such places as the San Francisco Bay area, Denver, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona, Wilmington, North Carolina, Boston, MA, Hartford, CT, and Kona, HI.
She states that Hawaii was her favorite as she was able to kayak, snorkel, zip line and fly over a volcano. Of course, the weather is fabulous there also.
After traveling for ten (10) years, she accepted a position as Supervisor of a Cardiovascular Lab in Henderson, NC. Laurie worked in Henderson, NC, for about 3 1/2 years when an opportunity arose in Raleigh, NC, to work as a Vascular Sonographer for a Cardiology Practice. She worked as a Vascular Sonographer in Raleigh for approximately 1 1/2 years. Laurie indicates that she really enjoyed working with the cardiologists and vascular interventionalists in North Carolina. She learned a lot about cardiovascular medicine while working closely with the doctors in those two medical facilities.
Laurie is currently working as a Clinical Site Manager for a private company in the Boston Area. She manages 5-6 Ultrasound Sites in hospitals and doctor's offices there. Her job is to train staff, monitor their quality of work, act as a liaison between techs and radiologists, and assist with various operational functions as well.
You can see a picture of Laurie as a Senior at the Austin Area School District by visiting the Austin Boro News Blog at www.austinboronews.blogspot.com.
